My sisters and I are a lot alike in various ways; especially my youngest sister, Lisa, and I. We talk alike, find humor in the same things, share the same profession and have even been mistaken for one another. But there are two key areas where we differ. Our height and our feet!
While we love some of the same styles in shoes, we've never been able to swap shoes. She would be trying to fit her foot into a shoe that would squeeze, pinch and cause her excruciating pain. While I would look downright ridiculous and probably fall flat on my face trying to wear shoes that would flop right off my feet. This is what we look like when we try walking in someone else's gift, instead of walking in our own God-given gifts.
you. Like those fly pair of shoes you bought that were too small but you had to have them because they were super fabulous and now they are sitting in your closet. You know the ones I'm talking about. They simply just don't fit.
Ladies, stop comparing yourself to other sisters and hi-jacking their gifts. We are all important to the Lord and He can and will use each and every one of us, if we let Him. Whatever God called YOU to do is significant in His eyes. Why isn't it in yours? Encourage, embrace and empower other women as they walk in their gifts and be confident enough to walk in YOUR OWN.
