I've had many conversations with incredible women that have allowed fear to take up living space in their lives. So, today this post is dedicated to all of you gorgeous women.
Several experiences in my life have shaken my self-confidence and almost destroyed it. I struggled for many years to rebuild my confidence and free myself from the shackles of fear.Through much prayer and introspection; I've been able to free myself from my former self and look fear in the face and courageously take bold steps into the future God planned for me.
"Fear is a dangerous virus, because a fearful person has no confidence and can never reach her potential in life. She won't step out of her comfort zone to do anything – especially something new or different. Fear is a cruel ruler, and its subjects live in constant torment."
This is a powerful point and really uncovers the main reason we continue to hold ourselves hostage and give away our self-confidence. Fear can totally derail us and stops us from completing and carrying out the purpose of God's plan for our lives.
It might be time for you to examine where you're at in this area. What are you afraid of? What are you allowing fear to hold you back from? What are you supposed to be doing right now in your life? Have you allowed fear to keep you in your comfort zone?
Change happens when we're uncomfortable. Think about that for a minute. What do you do when you're physically in an uncomfortable position? Right...YOU MOVE and change positions! It's time to get uncomfortable, kick fear to the curb and change your position.
The best advice I've ever heard (courtesy of Joyce Meyer): DO IT AFRAID! As John Wayne put it, "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.”
Take some time to reflect and ask God to give you the courage to face your fears. It's time to unshackle yourself from fear and move forward.
