"A Must Read"
Girl Get your S.W.A.G Back is a must read. Not only is it an inspiring book that details another women's trials and tribulations, but it is a thought-provoking book that challenges women of all walks of life to reflect on their current circumstances. The journaling style of this book allows you to read and reflect throughout the experience. I laughed and cried while reading this book and as it ended I had a plan for how I could move forward in my own life. This book was a book club read that inspired the whole club to discuss some of the obstacles that women face as mothers, wives, and Christians. I would highly recommend this book. This was a wonderful personal example of how we can get back to our God given path! I love your demonstrations of how God has His arms open to get us right back where we need to be. Thank you for taking the time to put in words how so many of us feel! D. Kabiswa, Wife, Mother, Professional “I Found My S.W.A.G.!”
Mrs. Parker… Thank you so much for this wonderful and freeing book! My soul was blessed. This book allowed me to not only see your experiences from your eyes, but to look at how my own experiences have shaped my life and the woman I am. The one thing I was comforted by was that no matter what our past was like, or what it did to us as women, it does not define us or our future. God does! What freedom! — When reading this book, Dee Parker opens the door to her own personal journey and encourages you to look at your own. I cried, I laughed, and I thought — about my own life and I did my own self evaluation. It was not just a book, it was a journey…I was truly blessed and encouraged to walk in my gifts with a new attitude! If you want back that special “something” that made you – you, or if you are struggling with your own identity due to your life experiences –this book is for you! F. “Absolutely Awesome!”
I didn’t realize it was my SWAG I lost until I read this book. This book helped me to do the work that I needed to do to forgive and trust so that I can be (and feel) free again! I appreciate that Ms. Parker talks about some of the issues that are felt inside but not discussed out loud. It made me feel as if I wasn’t alone in this journey. If you are searching for a book that will inspire, motivate, and help you do the work to be the best person you can possibly be…look no further! C. Edward, Wife, Mother, Professional “Uplifting”
I wanted to read this book so fast I didn’t want to stop and do the exercises – I’ll be re-reading and doing the work the 2nd time through. By the way, I believe Mrs Parker would approve of that. Her book is the gentle nudge and reminder that we have and are much more than what’s at the surface. That our dreams and talents are important and we should pursue them. Her inspiration reads genuine throughout and her story – it shows that we all have one and she she’s leading by example. Share this book with the women in your life whether they appear to need the nudge or not. You never know what hidden talents your friends have yet to explore and share. J.
