Our purses truly hold our sacred secrets, tell our stories, take the shape of our lives and embrace the consistent change that we experience through all life’s twists and turns. They truly do talk. The question is, who’s listening?

1. what's the purpose of purse stories and how do i create my story?
Purpose: Purse Stories are meant to serve as a safe space for women to courageously reveal the contents of their heart. It's a collection of heartfelt, truthful stories that encourages and enlightens the woman reading them. When we write our truth, chains begin to break, we find our wings and we begin to fly again...totally uncaged!

How to write a Purse Story: You have the option of submitting your short purse story in writing or providing a short 2 to 5 min video of you sharing your story. Your purse story should provide an honest answer to the metaphorical question, "If your purse could talk, what would it say?". Think through the questions that are posed at the top of this page and use that to help prompt your response. Your story is unique to your truth. And it's up to you to tell it. 
2. how long does my story need to be?
  • Your written purse story should not be longer than 500 words. 
  • Your recorded video should only be between 2 to 5 mins.
3. will i be paid for my story?
No. We will not be providing payment for submitted stories. This site is meant to encourage other women and help us to come to the realization that we're not alone. If your story is approved, we will place it on the Purse Stories web page with other stories from courageous women from around the world. 
4. how will my story be used?
Your story will be featured on our Purse Stories website along with your name (if you decide to use your real name), title, business web address (if applicable) and photo (if you decide to include one).
5. What guidelines do i need to follow?
The guidelines are pretty simple:
  • Each story should be a response to the metaphorical question "If Your Purse Could Talk, What Would It Say?"
  • Written submissions - no more than 500 words
    • ​You can submit this by using the free form text box or upload a document when completing the submission form
  • Video submissions - no more than 5 minutes 
    • ​Upload your video using the submission form 
  • You are welcome to submit your written piece anonymously, we will need your email to communicate with you regarding the approval of the piece.  
  • Please don't include any harsh, foul or damaging language
  • Please don't use real names of people, if you don't have their consent.
