Courage is…Facing and embracing your “Why Me?” Moment. You will come out stronger on the other side of it.

“Why me?” is a question I’m sure many of us have asked ourselves and God at some pretty tough “You’ve got to be kidding me” seasons in our lives. Questioning why we were the selected party for this particular trial. 

“Why am I the person who has to bear the burden of family issues?” Why am I the person who has to face financial difficulties at every turn in my life?” “Why am I the person who has to contend with marital issues?” Why me, God? The answer to this question that I so vividly heard in my sleep last night was, “Why not you?”

I truly believe this is a thought provoking question that deserves our attention. Why not you or me? It’s my belief that God allows us to go and grow through specific events in our lives to build us up to do the work that He has planned for us. He builds our character, our resilience and our testimony of His greatness all throughout our trials. When I’ve asked God to expand my territory or to place me in positions that He would have me go, you best believe it came with some intense character building time.

So, Why me? My answer, Why NOT me? I’ve come to this conclusion. We serve a God, a Creator, a Masterful Almighty that loves us enough to prepare us in the storms of our lives with the intent to bring us to the next level of our lives.
It may not feel good now, my friend, but you will be stronger on the other side of this moment. You are courageous and you can do this.
