But my question is really referring to the adjective meaning of the word wearing: mentally or physically tiring, exhausting, etc. Many of us are allowing worry, fear, confusion, and frustration to wear us out, which is totally understandable during this time. Our current situation is wearing on all of us and I know we are all more than ready to get back to our normal lives. So, what can we do differently during this time? I encourage you to shop for a different outlook to wear today. Choose a different way of thinking today. Select a different attitude to wear throughout your day. Take off the worry, the fear, and the frustration and put on joy, peace and praise. Ephesians 6:11 - 18 reminds us to put on the WHOLE armor of God.
Find something that makes you smile and laugh. Find something that peaks your interest and that will occupy your mind. Find something that you can share with someone else that will pair nicely with their new outlook. I’m in no way trying to over simplify this for anyone who is deep in despair. I want to just remind us that we all have a choice of what we choose to wear every day. What will you wear today?
